    EMDR Thought Kit for Kids
    When using EMDR with children, two of the greatest challenges for clinicians are assisting children in identifying the negative and positive cognitions as well as obtaining the Validity of the Positive Cognition (VOC). The Thoughts Kit for Kids is designed to aid clinicians with these two procedural steps of the EMDR standard protocol. The Thoughts Kit for Kids consists of four sets of cards. Two sets are illustrated specially for young children and the other two for young adolescents. Each set contains child appropriate positive and negative cognitions along with a VOC scale with which children can play and interact. In addition, The Thoughts Kit for Kids contains a 12 page booklet with specific EMDR games and protocols that can be used with these cards.

The air of this non-profit charitable organization is to strengthen and support families, practitioners and communities to promote the healthy development of babies and toddlers. Their site provides a wealth of resources for parents and professionals on the first three years of life including: easy to understand guidance and handouts for parents for different child development stages; a glossary of terms on the brain and how the brain develops; news reports and social action initiatives to promote new policies and programs for early childhood development.

    Online self report measures of attachment from R. Chris Fraley, Ph.D. at the University of Illinois
    At this site Dr. Fraley provides links to several web-based documents he has written on self-report measures of adult attachment.     This web page at The Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides an email address at the bottom of the page where you may request a free CD containing: 1) The Child Dissociative Checklist (CDC), a 20-item parent / observer report measure for children ages 5-12 years (Putnam et al., 1990). 2) The Adolescent Dissociative Experiences Scale (A-DES), a 30-item self-report measure for ages 12-18 years (Armstrong, Putnam, & Carlson, 1990). 3) The Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES), a 28-item self-report measure for ages 18 years and above (Carlson & Putnam, 1993).
