You may take the Strengthening the Self online exam, or you may download and submit a paper exam for an additional $10 fee.
You are invited to preview the online and paper exams before purchase. This can help you decide whether to purchase the online or paper exam version.
Online option: If you do not pass the online exam the first time, you may retake it as many times as needed to obtain a passing score without additional charge. The last screen of the online exam tells you which items you marked incorrectly. Completed exams are emailed to our office. You must also complete the online course evaluation to receive your certificate.
Paper option: There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of scoring paper exams by hand. If you do not pass the paper exam the first time, the first retake is without additional charge. For subsequent retakes, there is a $10 fee. The paper packets are available for download as PDF files. You may return your completed credit examination and course evaluation by either mail or fax.
Approved Distance Learning EMDRIA Credit Program
EMDRIA: Andrew M. Leeds is an approved EMDRIA Credit Provider #99019. "Strengthening the Self" has been approved for 12 EMDRIA Credit hours. Andrew M. Leeds, Ph.D. maintains responsibility for this program and its content in accordance with EMDRIA Standards. Full Completion of an EMDRIA Approved Basic EMDR Training is required to earn EMDRIA credits. On April 12, 2005, EMDRIA approved "Strengthening the Self" as the first distance learning course to be approved for EMDRIA™ Credits.
BBS: For California, the course meets the qualifications for 12 hours of continuing education credit for MFT's and LCSW's as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Please note the BBS limits licensee's to 18 hours (one half of the total 36 required hours) of self study learning per renewal cycle. BBS Provider #: PCE 2654.
MCEP: Andrew M. Leeds, Ph.D. is approved by the MCEP Accrediting Agency to offer mandatory continuing education for psychologists and maintains sole responsibility for the program. (MCEP Provider #LEE024). This course is approved for 12 hours of independent learning credit by the MCEPPA. Note: effective December 16, 2006 up to 27 hours of independent learning credits (75% of the 36 hours needed per renewal cycle) may be earned by California licensed Psychologists.
Ohio: This program has been approved by the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board for 12 clock hours of CPE (MCST010608) for Counselors, Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists.
